Calamity Janes 1995

(The recordings were made using a variety of methods, and as a result the quality varies. I’ve also left them just the way they were recorded including all the talking and joking in between songs.)

Here’s the first of the Sweet Cider recordings that I’ll be posting. It’s a show we did in Chatham, NY at Calamity Janes Coffee House in 1995. It’s the second appearance of the Yo Brothers. This show is on 3 cassettes, and this is the first. Unfortunately due to the fact I had to change tapes in the middle of the show there are some gaps. Tape 1 ends with Ban Yo of the Yo Brothers talking. As I was listening to it I thought there was some pretty funny stage chatter going on. There’s a bit of a buzz in the background (probably Walt’s bass) but otherwise the quality is pretty good.

I’m not sure what was going on during “Waited As Long As I Can”, but it must’ve been pretty funny. I do have some video of this show, and at some point I’ll be putting up.

I’ll be putting up the individual files in a day or two, and then you’ll be able to download and burn them to a CD if you’d like.

The Mp3 files are now up and can be found on the Music Page.

So sorry to hear the news of Walt’s passing. That dreaded cancer – he was much too young. Your official “adopted” town will miss you guys. We always enjoyed your music. Take care. Cathy

Tom on “Home Again” – “Call me up once in a while, we can practice!” LOL

That’s why I decided not to edit the recordings. There’s tons of stuff like that on them. Cracks me up listening to it.
