Corinth was the first memory, but as a teenager learning instruments and music of all kinds, uncle Tom threw me a one cool ride. It was at winterhawk some time in the 90's, when I was walking to the stage towards the end of night and saw Toms truck by the stage. He was moving some stuff which was no big deal he usually worked the festival but this time happen to land the job of driving the musicians back and forth to the stage who had coaches or busses. Due to a lot of rain that year it prevent them from driving up the mountain. I helped him load a. madolin, dobro and cases, then we all Jumped in. It was Uncle Tom, David Grisman his wife his agent, Del McCoury's kid (I can't remember his name lol) and Jerry Douglas and I were back with the instruments all crammed in. That was the coolest, thanks for the ride Uncle Tom!

The festivals ah yes, among the many many memories, first one that stands out is Corinth...79 or 80 something, birth place of don't tell your mother, water fights...lot. One special one though. I'm like 4 to 6, heard this band that just got me from the melodies to the fast teenage banjo player with the funny name. I sat right up front listening studying loven it. So I decide this guy singing is good enough to meet my dad. So its back in the day, I ran free, ran right back stage pushed bela out my way and asked Glen Lawson to walk back to the camp site to meet my dad...guess I thought Glenn was worthy such an introduction. After a while, probably all day, he took my hand we stared walking...here comes dad walking down the hill. Don't Remember who was with him, I sure remember the look on his face, just wish I made it to the camp site.

Hi Chris, Yeah Duane was "unique". Hey do you remember Bill (don't remember his last name) who played bass with Duane? And what about the McGiver's ?

The last time we played Keyser II was in Sept. 1980. Don't remember The Flying Farmers. We did a show in the park in Cobleskill in July of 2008. One of our last before Tom our banjo player suffered a stroke. Took a walk over to where Jack's and Keyser used to be. Lots of memories.

Your Feb 2011 post about Duane Morgan- I was in a band with him in Cobleskill 1980-81: The Flying Farmers. We played around Cobleskill (Kyser 2) and I think we did that Adirondack fest with Duane in 80 or 81. I have pictures of the band. I enjoyed your post about him, he was a character.

Yeah, I think it just happened that way. The floor was wood and the room was empty so I'm sure that's where it came from.

Some of the tracks on here have a really nice echo or reverb, it makes them sound cool. Nice that such an old tape held up so well.
